lilla's tutorials: il cuore lavorato ai ferri / The knitted heart, free pattern



Questo cuore ai ferri è lavorato in un unico pezzo.
Si inizia a lavorare dalla parte superiore e si termina con la punta.

This is a very smart way to knit a heart in a unique piece.
Following this pattern you can knit this heart from the top to its point, using garter stitch.



Se volete realizzare dei cuori imbottiti non dovete far altro che cucire due parti e riempire con dell'imbottitura; poi decorateli come più vi piace.
Il cuore realizzato da me è stato lavorato con un filato in lana da lavorare con un ferro 5.
Un simpatico utilizzo di questi cuoricini può essere quello di farne sottobicchieri e sottopiatti per la tavola di San Valentino: realizzateli in un bel filato di cotone, da lavorare con i ferri 5 per avere dei cuori piccoli, usate invece un filato molto più grande, magari da lavorare con ferri 8/10, per lavorare i sottopiatti.

ENGLISH PATTERN
For this heart I used a 5 mm knitting needle (UK 6 / USA 8) and a medium yarn weight.
Use a stitch marker to mark the central stitch of each row.

kfbf (double increase): leaving the stitch on left needle, knit in front of stitch-knit in back of stitch-knit in front of stitch (view video)

Cast on 9 stitches
ROWS 1-2-3  
k1-yo-k to center stitch-kfbf- place marker in the center stitch-k to last stitch-yo-k

ROWS 4 to 15
k to center stitch-kfbf- place marker in the center stitch-k to the end of row

ROWS 16-17-18 
k2tog-k to center stitch-kfbf- place marker in the center stitch-k to last 2 stitches-k2tog

ROWS 19-20-21
k2tog (x2)-k to center stitch-kfbf- place marker in the center stitch-k to last 4 stitches-k2tog (x2)

ROW 22
Bind off, cut the yarn and weave in ends.
